Our core services for users are;

TheSubjectStore.com - a register and repository of subjects of any kind - that provides overall storage and management of users' own or community shared subjects, and

InformationGPS - a set of tools and services that bring each subject to life by finding and mapping related subjects as well as further information (when required) about those subjects, including definitions, arguments, and related files and data.

With InformationGPS, information takes centre stage using so-called “Subject-Centric Computing”. Subjects, together with the information maps linking related subjects, are persistent, unlike the massive pool of unstable data that often support them.

Most online information services lock users’ information into their system and offer users few options to control their own information. In contrast, Pensive offers products with which users always own and control their information subjects and can manage their information as a valued asset.

Often, so-called “free” information sharing services actually sell user data, at least indirectly, in return for advertising revenue. In contrast, Pensive offers users a choice of free or up-front paid-for services that together guarantee that users alone decide where their information is used and by whom. This is particularly important in an era beset by problems of personal data theft and piracy.

Other distinct features of our solutions are:

They build and manage an “information map” of key information “topics”. Such an “information map” provides a powerful means of keeping a high-level view across any organisation’s or individual’s “information territory”;
The information map is lightweight and portable between systems. It is managed and secured separately from the underlying content. Customers are thus able to control how much of the information map can be seen and by whom;
The solutions provide a standard and powerful method for information sharing, based on the principle of “subject identity”;
All solutions released will use the same, common underlying “pensive Information Model” (PIM) that ensures that the same information concepts used in different services and information domains can nonetheless be recognised by and used by others;
The business solution uses modelling and workflows that comply with “Corporate Social Responsibility” and other corporate governance legislation and guidelines;
Pensive works with cloud-computing host services rather than carrying the burden of managing and scaling such a service itself.
